Install & configure (per user)

Every Brandlit account installs its own brain. Links and API keys are never shared across users.

What gets installed

• 1Brandlit identity
  Guest bl_uid or email account → all installs hang off this uid.
• 2Brain path A or B
  Grok Bot entitlement or encrypted xAI key in user:{uid}:… KV.
• 3Editor dock
  Chat + Inspect talk to /api/grok as that user only.

Path A — Connect with Grok Bot

1. Open Brandlit → Connect with Grok Bot (landing, wizard, Settings, or dock).
2. Copy the short code shown (e.g. ABCD-EFGH).
3. Click Approve in this browser, or open /connect-grokbot and Approve.
4. Wait until status says connected. Your uid now has user:{uid}:grokbot linked.
5. Optional later: real Cursor/Grok Bot OAuth replaces browser approve when available.

Path B — Your own xAI key

1. Create an API key at console.x.ai.
2. In Brandlit wizard or Settings → paste the key → Save key for this user.
3. Tap Test connection. Key is AES-GCM encrypted in KV for your uid only.
4. xAI bills your account. Clear anytime in Settings.

How to use after install

1. Enter the editor (blank canvas or SalesSwipe stage).
2. Right rail → Grok Bot → Chat. Type edits or use the mic.
3. Inspect tab for selection / DomOps chips.
4. Settings → Install & configure to reconnect, disconnect, or replace your key.
